A Better Breakfast: I start everyday with my High Energy, High Protein, Muscle Building, Fat Burning, High Antioxidant High Fiber shake. That’s my kick-starter for the day!
My morning shake is fast, filling and packed with super nutrients. Its hard to eat this many nutrients in so little time! I don’t know about you, but breakfast is not a leisurely meal for me. And, it is my rule, never skip breakfast. My protein and fiber rich shake not only provides essential nutrients, but also builds muscle, burns fat and keeps me from getting hungry for hours due to the high fiber content. When you use coconut milk you also get medium chain triglycerides that support fat burning. My shake is designed NOT to trigger the release of the hormone insulin, a fat storage hormone which spikes with a typical sweet, high starch, high carb diet (think fruit, oatmeal, cereal, pancakes, toast) and sugar or honey in your tea or coffee.
I have provided here for you my Basic Kick start Shake recipe and I have also included the recipe for my own personal morning Super Shake filled with High Performance and Longevity Herbs and Nutrients! Enjoy! If you want to feed your brain and your muscles, stay lean, focused and alert, this is the breakfast for you. And if you are trying to lose some fat, this breakfast will support your success in going from fat to lean and svelte!
I have included my Basic Kick Start Shake recipe and I have also included a link to my own personal morning Super Shake filled with High Performance and Longevity Herbs and Supplements. There is a middle ground between the two! Enjoy!
Basic Kickstart Shake Recipe
- 1-2 scoops of vegan pea protein powder or whey protein powder
- 1-2 tbsp* fiber (fiber blend, or freshly ground flax seed meal, nut butter)
- 1 teaspoon of Reds Powder or Greens Powder or both
- 1/2 -1 cup organic frozen berries
- 1 cup liquid: filtered water, herbal tea, green tea, unsweetened coconut milk or coconut water, unsweetened almond milk
If you like a thinner shake, use 1/2 cup fruit and add 1/4 cup or more of liquid
If you like a thicker shake use 1 cup of fruit and add extra fiber powder, chia seeds or flaxseeds or flax seed meal.
Best to use fresh coconut milk or (my favorite) So Delicious unsweetened coconut milk or similar in cartons or unsweetened almond milk.
You can use canned coconut milk: use 3/4 cup liquid + 1/3 cup canned coconut milk
You can make your own nut milks by soaking a cup of nuts overnight and blending them with water in a high speed blender or by using fresh coconut meat and fresh coconut cream mixed with coconut water or water in a blender.

Travel Ease: A Better Breakfast on the Road
Furthermore, when I travel I mix up a big batch of my “blend” and take it in single serving zip lock bags along with a shaker bottle or a Magic Bullet blender which fits nicely in my suitcase. If I cannot find coconut water I just mix my shake with water. If I don’t have my blender, I skip the fruit in the shake. This is a much more nutritious, healthy high protein, high antioxidant and nutrient rich breakfast than can be found at any hotel restaurant in the morning. And, I don’t eat eggs, wheat, gluten or cheese. So that makes breakfast a challenging meal when traveling anyway. Problem solved with my traveling shake that I can mix just about anywhere with a shaker bottle and water.
*FYI Choose HIGH QUALITY Whey Protein that is non-heat treated and undenatured whey protein. You will get not only high quality protein, but also immune boosting and regenerative factors not found in lower cost whey products.
