1 cup of lemon or lime  juice  preferably freshly squeezed from 4-6 fresh lemon or 8-10 fresh limes

4-6 cups filtered water

1 teaspoon ground tumeric

1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

1 teaspoon fresh or dried thyme leaves

1 tablespoon fresh or 1 teaspoon dried mint leaves

1/2 – 1 cup organic berries  (fresh or frozen) such as strawberries, blackberries raspberries.

Optional: For a spicy brew and more anti-inflammatory activity add 1/2 tsp of finely minced or finely grated fresh ginger root of 1/4 tsp or more of dried ginger root powder according to your liking

For those who want a sweetener on top of the berries: try

a little stevia or xylitol powder (neither of which will trigger insulin)
