Roasted Garlic Yogurt Dip is quick and easy and can be enjoyed with chips and fresh or cooked vegetables or as a topping for fish or chicken. Garlic is protective to the heart and blood vessels and is an important part of a heart healthy and anti-cancer diet. Garlic is also rich in sulfur which promotes detoxification. Ingredients
1/4 cup plain organic hormone free yoghurt
1 tablespoon roasted garlic, mashed
1 tablespoon chopped rosemary or 1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin
Preparation
In a non-metal bowl
Mix all ingredients together and serve.
Keeps well in the refrigerator (make a bigger batch!)
Best stored in a covered glass container
How to Roast Garlic
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Slice off the top each head of garlic to expose some of the cloves inside. Place the heads on a piece of parchment paper*
Drizzle with olive oil and wrap in the parchment.
Roast for about 30 minutes until cloves are lightly browned and tender,
Serve with Beet Chips, Crunchy Fennel Chips
Avoid the Use of Aluminum Foil! Most roasted garlic recipes call fo r the use of aluminum foil.
We do NOT recommend the use of aluminum foil or aluminum cooking utensils, pots, pans or containers as aluminum is known to accumulate in the brain and is linked to neurologic diseases.
Aluminum is considered a toxic metal and does not belong in contact with your food.
Parchment paper is a perfect safe and non -toxic alternative to aluminum foil.
